2023 NEW YEAR’S FAST

Food Guidelines

HERE IS A LIST OF FOOD ITEMS THAT CAN BE INCLUDED IN THIS FAST. (This list is just to give an idea of items you can consume, but are not the only items:

• All Fruits. These can be fresh, frozen, dried, juiced or canned. Fruits include but are not limited to apples, apricots, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, boysenberries, cantaloupe, cherries, cranberries, figs, grapefruit, grapes, guava, honeydew melon, kiwi, lemons, limes, mangoes, nectarines, oranges, papayas, peaches, pears, pineapples, plums, prunes, raisins, raspberries, strawberries, tangelos, tangerines, watermelon
• All Vegetables. These can be fresh, frozen, dried, juiced or canned. Vegetables include but are not limited to artichokes, asparagus, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chili peppers, collard greens, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, ginger root, kale, leeks, lettuce, mushrooms, mustard greens, okra, onions, parsley, potatoes, radishes, rutabagas, scallions, spinach, sprouts, squashes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, yams, zucchini, veggie burgers are an option if you are not allergic to soy
• All whole grains. including but not limited to whole wheat, brown rice, millet, quinoa, oats, barley, grits, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat tortillas, rice cakes and all natural (no butter) popcorn. All nuts and seeds, including but not limited to sunflower seeds, cashews, peanuts, sesame. Also nut butters including peanut butter.
• All Legumes. These can be canned or dried. Legumes include but are not limited to dried beans, pinto beans, split peas, lentils, black eyed peas, kidney beans, black beans, cannellini beans, white beans.
• All Quality Oils & Beverages. including but not limited to olive, canola, grape seed, peanut, and sesame. Spring water, distilled water or other pure waters. Soy milk, almond milk. Drink plenty of water and 100% juice.
• Fish and Seafood are allowed to be consumed.

Father, I acknowledge your greatness today.  You are the sovereign King and Mighty Lord. I bless you for your power and greatness.

Father, today, I bask in your love. Your love brings me joy and strength. Your love is better than anything the world has to offer. Thank you for an everlasting love! It won’t stop, it won’t fail!

HEART OF THANKSGIVING

A Psalm of Thanksgiving. Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Father, today, I give praise and thanks for your goodness and mercy.  I thank you that your love endures forever and your mercy is everlasting.

REPENTING

Prayer

Father, I come boldly to your throne of grace repenting before you (sins known and unknown) Forgive me for leaving my first love which is You. I lay aside every sin and weight that keeps me from You and turn to the Author and Finisher of my faith. I love what You love and hate what You hate, I ask You to wash me Lord, purify my heart, purging me with hyssop and I shall be clean, that I may lift up holy hands in Your temple. Lord put me in perfect alignment for Your Glory, I submit unto you and resist the enemy of my soul, You are the Potter, mold me in Your hand, shape me in Your will.

SEEKING

Prayer

Father here am I; I look up to my Father God. I seek You while You may be found. I seek You during this time of fasting with my whole heart and soul, As I draw near to You, You also draw near to me according to James 4:8. I can’t come Lord within my own strength, so help me, give me a greater hunger and thirst by aide of Holy Spirit that I may be filled. So as the deer pants after the waters so my soul pants for You. I seek the kingdom first Father then You will give everything else I need. I seek Your heart in this hour and not Your hand, draw me closer to You.

Prayer

Father, thank you for newness in You, thank you that the old me and how I related to people and people related to me are gone. Thank you that they only see You and me hidden in You. My countenance in different, my talk is different, the way I love is different because You have done a new thing within me and I recognize it. Thank you, Father because I abide in Christ Jesus and He in me, I bare much fruit and greater fruit. I know that Christ is the True Vine and I am the branch and without Him I can do nothing, but Lord with You I can do all things.

HARMONY IN THE BODY

Prayer

Father, I thank you today that because I am in You, You have given me the strength to show love to my fellowman. I love my neighbor as I do myself. I show partiality to no one, I clothed myself in Christ and He makes it easy to cover the faults of others because I am not without fault. I am patient, kind, I do not envy, I am not boastful or proud towards my brother or sister. I am not easily angered or rude, I do not keep record of wrongs done to me but rejoice with truth. I will protect, trust, and persevere with the body of Christ and therefore our love for one another will never fail. Thank you, Father, that we continue to build each other up in unity and love with one accord because we are committed to the kingdom and the growth of each other. I bless You that there is no lack because we have the God kind of love, Agape for the Body.

RESTORATION

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to you this day seeking for you to restore the love, followship, and family within us. Lord, heal everything that has been broken and restore us back to agape love.

UNITY

Prayer

Glory to your name Father! Lord, I pray that your people will be with one accord! Help us to walk in love, kindness, and be patience as we work toward the building of your Kingdom. Let us show grace and mercy toward each other as we stand strong and unified.

FAMILY

Prayer:

Lord you are worthy of all praise and honor! Father bless our families! I pray they shall have peace, joy, strength, and no weapon that is formed against them shall prosper. The blood of Jesus shall cover and protect them all the days of their lives. Our families shall walk in prosperity, and we shall not lack anything, and our cups shall continue to overflow.

Hallelujah to the King of Glory! Who is strong and mighty! We bless your Holy name! Lord pour your love upon your children! Give us a heart of flesh and take away the stony heart that we may love each other with the love of Christ daily. Renew our minds daily in Christ Jesus so that we may walk in love for our fellow man. Let us show forth charity in all things concerning you for the up building of the Kingdom.

Heavenly Father I pray in the Name of Jesus, that you help us to forgive, and love others, as you have loved and forgiven us many times over. Thank you, Jesus.

THE ACT OF GIVING (What better way to engage God, but in the act of giving and helping others).

God of Heaven and Earth I pray in the Name of Jesus, that in this season of my life you will strengthen my faith in given so I can freely give to those that are in need. Help me to trust you with what you have given me. Father, I want to be known as one of your lenders.

Father God, I am seeking you in prayer because I want to fulfill my purpose that you have created for me on earth. I need you to open my eyes so that I may see clearly and sharpen my hearing that I may hear your voice even as a whisper. Teach me how to build strong relationships that leads to Godly purpose.

Prayer

Father, I thank you today for my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I pray that you will cause agape love to abound in our hearts, one for another and that you teach us to pursue the peace of God that surpasses all of our understanding and grant us the ability to humble ourselves so that we may edify each other.

Prayer

Father Your Word tells us to draw near to you and you will draw near to us. Today, I ask you to reveal to me anything that stands in the way of my relationship with you and that will teach me how to remain connected to you.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask you today to position me in the right place, at the right time, and with the right people and that you grant me the wisdom to know how to build healthy relationships.

BUILDING UP OUR FAITH

Then the Disciples came to Jesus privately and said, Why could we not cast it out? So Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing shall be impossible for you.

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father I thank you that you have already given each of us a measure of Faith and your Word declares that Faith in you comes by hearing Your Word. Thank you Lord that because of your Word my Faith is being increased daily.

ESTABLISHING THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITHIN YOU

Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

Prayer

Father, I ask today that your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven and that you will teach me all that I need to know concerning your Kingdom. I pray today that I be fully enveloped with your spirit of righteousness, peace, joy and holiness.
